Bikes
On the Portugal, Spain and French Alps trip you should bring your own bike. You are responsible for the maintenance of your bike but, of course, we will help wherever necessary. The guide/driver is knowledgable and on the French Alps trip the driver is a bike mechanic. We will carry equipment in the van on all trips. Instead of carrying your bike on the plane, we offer support so you can send your bike before the trip by Federal Express. We have secure addresses for delivery and will bring your bike to start of the trip. At the time of writing FE charges $ 60 which is very reasonable. More info will be send to you by email.
On the Belgium, Alsace and Lake Constance trips Hindriks Tours provides high quality 24 speed bicycles with upright handlebars and touring tires. These custom made hybrid bikes come with dual drive gearing system, gel seat, puncture proof tires, hydraulic brakes. The frames are not lightweight but this enables us now and then to choose the off the beaten track route or the gravel trail. The handlebars are upright, an ideal bike for exercising and sightseeing. Water bottles are provided, as well as saddlebags to hold a rain jacket, camera, etc. Our roomy support vans are always within easy reach of cyclers, and are equipped with refrigerator, extra seats, and picnic tables.
