Description This is a magnificent trip through the heartland of Catalunya in north eastern Spain. From initial rolling and challenging terrain with the Pyrenees as a backdrop, the bicycling becomes easier on the almost flat terrain near the Mediterranean Sea. Later you'll turn inland again and you'll cycle near wonderful Girona where the US riders used to practice but you don't do all the hills. You'll visit historical villages right behind white sand beaches, and hotels have been selected for their great locations and excellent cuisine. Bicycling moderate difficulty, easy near coast, moderate and some hills in outskirts of Pyrenees at the end of the trip, average 35 - 40 miles per day. Support van/driver with daily route descriptions provides a self-paced adventure with support when needed. Bring your own bike, no rental available.
