Description
This trip starts in eastern Belgium near the town of Bastogne where you will learn about one of the most important events of the second World War, the battle of the Bulge. After this, you'll enter Luxembourg towards the historical and beautifull small towns of Diekirch, Vianden and Echternach. There will be more attention to historical issues as we retrace Patton's route but there will also be ample time for diverse sightseeing interests like the castle at Vianden, the abbey at Echternach and the museum at Diekirch. Luxembourg is small and you'll also cross the border into Germany to visit the town of Trier, dating back to Roman times. You'll end this trip with a fantastic bike ride into Luxembourg city. This fortified town is spectacular and a perfect ending of this trip. With three countries combined, the biking easy to moderate with some rolling terrain, fantastic nature and fascinating history, this is an excellent trip.
