Description
Travel from the 'Hohe Tauern' National Park to Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart, passing waterfalls, serene rural landscapes and friendly villages, all set against a dramatic backdrop of towering mountains. On this trip you will bicycle mainly downhill through the valleys of the Salzkammergut in the Western part of Austria from Krimml towards Salzburg, one of the most interesting towns of Europe. The nature is spectacular with big mountain scenery on your side. During the trip you will visit one of the biggest European waterfalls at Krimml, the gorge near St. Johann and the interesting salt mines at Hallein. And, of course, Salzburg will be explored extensively. You'll delight in the beautiful scenery, exceptional food, and hospitable people.
