This 12 days/11 nights trip highlights the best of these two countries; beautiful landscapes, vineyards, castles and historical towns offer an enchanting escape. Wine lovers will delight in the exclusive opportunity to taste local bottles (which are not available anywhere else in the world) and beer lovers will find paradise in the Czech Republic.

 

The trip features two nights in Austria and nine nights in the Czech Republic. We'll start cycling north of Vienna through the wine district before crossing the Czech border into Moravia. Many historical towns dot the landscape, each with ancient city walls and lovely squares. After leaving Moravia for Bohemia, we'll be met by breweries galore. 

 

The small villages, walled historical towns, romantic castles, meandering streams, lush woodlands and gently rolling terrain cast the illusion of being transported to a mid-century fairy tale. Come join us!

Trip price includes 7 dinners and all breakfasts, accommodations in mainly 4-star hotels in Poysdorf, Znojmo, Telc, Jindrichuv Hradec, Trebon and Tabor; 5 two-night stays and 1 one-night stay. 

 

Arrival and Departure

Pick up Vienna airport, drop-off at the Prague airport.

 

Day by Day

• Poysdorf (2 nights): Stay in a lovely hotel and enjoy a great welcome dinner. Cycle through the wine district rife with fantastic wine cellars. 
   

• Znojmo (2 nights):  Enter the Czech Republic into Moravia. Visit the local winery housed in a converted castle.
   

• Telc (2 nights): Well-preserved jewel of small village with magnificent town square, visit pottery workshop. 
   

• Jindrichuv Hradec (1 night):  Visit to local castle, home of the ‘White Lady’. Lunch on klobasa and kolaches.
   

• Trebon (2 nights): Cycle around the fish ponds, enjoy a great picnic lunch at a local museum, and visit the brewery.
   

• Tabor (2 nights): Guided walking tour of this historical city, ride the nearby forest trails, learn about the Czech Reformation movement. Enjoy a farewell dinner.
