Cradled between the ocean and the River Shannon, this route through western Ireland unveils the county’s outstanding natural beauty. On this trip, you will explore the County Clare and end with a visit to the attractive market town of Ennis.
You’ll ride from Kilkee in the Spanish Point (where the Spanish Armada washed ashore in 1588) to Lisdoonvarna (known for its lively music scene) to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. These awe-inspiring ocean views will bring us to the edge of the Burren.
This rich historical region is brimming with siteseeing opportunity. Monuments dating back 5000 years, such as the Poulnabrone Dolmen, the epic Cliffs of Moher, Spanish Point, and quaint towns like Lisdoonvarna, Ballyvaughan and Ennis.
Bicycling in this country is a delight; the ocean is never far away. It might rain or be windy, but the sun always shines in the pub!
